As part of the France-Romania 2019 year, the XXXIInd International Workshops of the Frac des Pays de la Loire invited curator Diana Marincu to design a two-month residency with six Romanian artists around the theme of the relationship of the human species to other forms of life. Anca Benera & Arnold Estefan, Nona Inescu, Olivia Mihălțianu, Alex Mirutziu and Vlad Nancă have thus thought of new paradigms to understand the notions of nature and culture, body and technology, politics and landscape.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition Manufacturing nature / Naturalizing the synthetic XXXIIe Ateliers internationales du Frac des Pays de la Loire (November 17, 2018 - February 10, 2019), this catalog is supplemented by texts by Philippe Descola and Françoise Vergès on the historical impact of political exercise in its social and environmental dimensions.
