CORNER approaches football from an interdisciplinary perspective, focusing on context and language. The cover and the poster belong to Mi Kafchin, two images which question the perception of sport and identity representation.

Bogdan Ghiu continues his micro-series on the phenomenon of the ”new stadium” and writes about the relay-man in the society of the spectacle and James Montague, the author of ”The Billionaires Club” (Bloomsbury Sport, 2017), presents an episode from his research about labour and slavery on the stadium of a future World Cup.

Anca Verona Mihuleț develops the dialectics of the football-specific language in an interview with Dumitru Graur. Staring from the history of the Maccabi Bucharest team, Claudiu Revnic develops the subject of ethnic teams and the role they played in the build-up of communities.
Declan Clarke develops a text (to be continued in the next issue) about the history of modern football and the translation of socialism in football tactics.

Mihnea Anțilă writes about minor football, self-organized teams and ways to infiltrate rhizomatically the structure of big football. This material is illustrated with a guide to set-up a football team.

Publicaţia CORNER abordează fotbalul dintr-o perspectivă interdisciplinară, concentrîndu-se pe context şi limbaj. Coperta și posterul acestui număr aparțin lui Mi Kafchin, două imagini care chestionează percepția asupra sportului și reprezentarea identității.

Bogdan Ghiu continuă microserialul său despre fenomenul “noului stadion” și ne vorbește despre omul-releu din societatea spectacolului, iar James Montague, autorul cărții “Clubul milionarilor” (The Billionaires Club - Bloomsbury Sport, 2017), prezintă un episod al cercetării sale despre muncă și sclavie pe stadioanele unui viitor campionat mondial.

Anca Verona Mihuleț abordează dialectica limbajului specific fotbalului într-un interviu cu Dumitur Graur. Pornind de la istoria echipei Maccabi București, Claudiu Revnic dezvoltă subiectul echipelor etnice care au avut rolul de a coagula comunități.

Declan Clarke începe un material amplu despre istoria fotbalului modern și transpunerea socialismului în strategiile de joc.

Mihnea Anțilă scrie despre fotbalul minor, auto-organizare și modalități de infiltrare rizomatică în structura fotbalului mare. Acest material este ilustrat cu un ghid pentru înființarea unei echipe de fotbal.
